Putting on the Fat Pants

Ok Ryan Gosling, whatever you say. The cookies I had this week at the cookie party and in the baking process tasted soooo good. I couldn't really control myself, especially since I've been in a spiral of terrible eating since we left Hawaii. THAT WAS 3 MONTHS AGO!!!
As I stuffed my face with more food this weekend I started to feel like poo. What am I doing?! I completely gave up on healthy eating in the interest of laziness and legit Chinese takeout. It seemed like a good enough excuse until my larger size jeans started to feel a little tight.
Let me explain something, I always keep two different sizes of jeans in my wardrobe. I'm human, I know that I'm going to have some times where I need to put on the big pants. Well, I put on the big pants and they're feeling a little tight. Oops!
So as of last night I put down my diet coke and decided to start getting healthy again. The first thing I did was run a painful 3.25 miles on the treadmill. Gosh, I feel much better now. That healthy habit gave way to another. Instead of scarfing yet another french bread frozen pizza (since my sailor is away) I scarfed about a half a bag of spinach worth of salad. It tasted amazing after that run. I didn't have that nasty fried food hangover either.
So there's my first step. Let's see if we can keep this ball rolling.

  1. Fitness can easily go by the wayside when life gets really busy. I find if i don't go to the gym first thing in the morning or right when I get home I find reasons to not go. It's always a work I progress! You'll find a new routine as you get settled in your new home I'm sure
